Introducing: The KA! Community Connections Program!

This program is designed to provide opportunities for experienced adult performers to share their expertise and love for their craft with our students in the Summer Intensive.

“Better Together!”
KidsAlive! has become well known for the way it connects students of all abilities through a partnership program, and now we are applying that to the way we educate our more experienced students as well.

This is a community theatre production that rehearses concurrently with our Summer Intensive, and partners our adult performers with the students playing the same roles in the Intensive. Through this unique partnership program, our students are able to gain a hands on education developing their role side by side with an experienced actor from our community, and we fully expect the adult performers from our community to gain a new perspective and rekindle their passion for their art while working alongside our students.

(Students in the Summer Intensive: you have the option to also audition for Dance Ensemble in the Community Connections Production. This would involve attending applicable evening rehearsals for the Adult production in addition to your own Intensive schedule. For more info on doing both, please read the info on the Summer Intensive site,  HERE.)

Partnerships with Summer Intensive:

Students in the Summer Intensive will have opportunities to join select evening rehearsals of the Community Connections Production to learn side by side with adults in the same roles on character development, blocking and more.

Performers should register to attend ONE of the three initial audition blocks available to both adult and Intensive Student performers.

These auditions will consist of vocal auditions and a dance call for movers and/or dancers.

Ensemble Driven

All productions at KidsAlive! are ensemble driven, and this will include our adult productions. Our goal is to instill in our students the collective strength of a group creating a show together and we will continue to do that with out Community Connections Productions.

Therefore, we will be looking for a strong and vibrant ensemble both with and without dance experience to play multiple roles including townspeople, wolves, and enchanted objects.

All ensemble members can expect to have a myriad of responsibilities throughout the production.
